Tomorrow is my birthday! Happy Birthday to me and my sister, no twin but same birthday five years apart. 
Nine years ago
That is when this journey into the inn-keeping world was just about to start. As friends and family were wishing me a Happy Birthday. I was wishing (and praying) that this new life journey would turn out well. I can tell you now nine years later that those Happy Birthday wishes all came true! Nine years ago while trying to celebrate my “0” birthday (and packing) I must admit I wasn’t looking forward to moving to Maine. I was looking forward to our new business! There was such much unknown but we never really had any doubt we couldn’t make owning The Inn at English Meadows a success. It’s hard to believe that nine years later we sold our first B&B and took on White Fences Inn. When I was younger, in my thirties, I always dreamed of living in the Hamptons but never imagined that would mean owning a bedandbreakfast. Dreams do come true.
How fast nine years has gone
This year I will turn fifty nine, where have the years gone…. Fifty nine!!! I am not someone who likes people to make a big deal about my birthday. I do enjoy seeing all those Facebook Happy Birthday wishes from friends I don’t get to stay in touch with on a regular basis. What tomorrow will bring? It’s going to quite cold here and I hate the cold so staying warm will make me happy! There’s a new pizza restaurant in Sag Harbor. If it’s not too cold maybe a lunch date with Eric. Simple pleasures are always good and pizza is a favorite, maybe a glass of champagne and some chocolate cake….
